Closing Nigeria’s Edible Oil Fortification Gap
This study reveals critical gaps in Nigeria's edible oil fortification, highlighting how unregulated "blind spots" fuel widespread vitamin A deficiency and charting strategies to address them.
More than 90% of Nigerian households consume vegetable oil, but less than one third of this oil is adequately fortified with Vitamin A. This represents a significant missed opportunity to improve health and wellbeing for millions of families across the country.
