Panama

Despite a strong, service-based economy, roughly one-fourth of Panama's population lives in poverty. Over half of its citizens are under the age of 30, but the unemployment rate for youth surpasses that of the general population.

TechnoServe is working to help Panama’s entrepreneurs, especially youth, to maximize the potential of their businesses, grow their incomes, and create local jobs. In this way, these enterprises serve as an engine of sustainable economic development.
