Part 4 of 4

Today we’re sharing a recipe created by María de Jesús Pérez Santos, who worked with TechnoServe to improve her entrepreneurship skills in Mexico

Mexico is a country of great wealth on the one hand and deep poverty on the other. Despite the large presence of international corporations and high-level research centers, there is a wide and persistent economic gap, particularly evident in rural areas and in the agriculture sector.

A lack of information on markets and product needs remains a challenge for governments and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and small-scale farmers or business owners often struggle to connect with market opportunities.

TechnoServe’s innovative work in Mexico closes these gaps by linking small farmers and entrepreneurs to technology, know-how, and new value chains, allowing producers and business owners to improve the quality of life of their families and communities.
