Desarrollo Económico Inclusivo Territorial (DEIT)

The four-year Desarrollo Económico Inclusivo Territorial program, or Territorial Inclusive Economic Development in English, aims to reach 10,000 families living in the basins of the Choluteca, Goascorán, and Nacaome rivers who are currently excluded from the coastal eco-tourism, cashew, and livestock value chains. Funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation COSUDE, the program is facilitated by a consortium integrated by Ayuda en Acción and TechnoServe.

Transforming the Cashew Value Chain

With financial support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), TechnoServe implemented the MozaCajú project from 2013 to 2018, supporting the Mozambican cashew nut industry by harnessing global market demand for premium cashew and addressing obstacles throughout the value chain, including in the areas of production, inputs, processing, finance and marketing.
