TechnoServe Ranked In Top 1% Of Charities With Another Top Rating From Charity Navigator

For the ninth year in a row, the international development nonprofit earned Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars

Washington, D.C. (February 5, 2015) – This week, Charity Navigator awarded TechnoServe its highest-possible 4-star rating for responsible financial management, accountability and transparency. This marks the ninth consecutive year that the international development nonprofit was awarded four stars by Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities.

In a letter to TechnoServe, Charity Navigator President Ken Berger wrote, “Only 1 percent of the charities we rate have received at least nine consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that TechnoServe outperforms most other charities in America. This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates TechnoServe from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

Charity Navigator’s ratings are based on 17 governance and ethical practices, as well as measures of openness. Just one quarter of evaluated charities earn four stars each year.
“We are pleased once again to receive a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of transparency and accountability,” said William Warshauer, president and CEO of TechnoServe. “TechnoServe is proud to maximize the impact of our donors’ funds as we work to create business solutions to poverty around the world.”
