Managing Director, Gyrafalcon Advisers

Russell Faucett is the Managing Director of Gyrafalcon Advisers, a private financial adviser. Prior to Gyrafalcon, Russ was the President of Barrington Wilshire LLC and the General Partner of Barrington Partners L.P., investment companies that specialized in investing in the equity and debt securities of publicly traded U.S. and European companies in financial difficulty.  Russ also was a general partner of an investment banking company for middle market companies, a problem loan advisor to several major California commercial banks, and an executive vice president of a commercial finance company and president of a venture capital company.

Russ serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the Finance and Investment Committee of Accion International. He also serves as a member of the Administrative Board of Cornell Lab for Ornithology and is a member of the Board of Directors of Island Press and TechnoServe.

Russ graduated with Distinction from Pomona College with a BA in Physics and from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a MS in Industrial Management. Russ enjoys classical music, studying ornithology and conservation biology, and the challenge of international economic development. He has years of experience in Latin America – climbing, trekking and birding.
