Divyangana (Divy) Kumar

Managing Director, Foodservice Business North America, Cargill Food & Bio (CFB) 

Divy Kumar was named managing director of Cargill’s Foodservice North America in 2022. In this role, she manages cross-product portfolio development and offering to more than a hundred top customers in the food service industry. As Cargill aims to operate closer to the customer and be their go-to partner for innovation, Kumar is charged with driving growth across the region.  

Divy previously served in roles in Cargill’s Global Edible Oils Solutions business,  serving on the business extended leadership team as the global strategic pricing director. In that role, she led global frame negotiations with key accounts such as McDonald’s, Nestle, and Mondelez. 

Divy originally joined Cargill in 2013 as a part of the company’s corporate strategy and development team, where she served as an internal consultant to businesses on strategy development and mergers & acquisitions for Cargill. In 2015, she was awarded the “Grenade Award” for her business performance, work ethic, and agility to deliver on projects across the globe. 

Kumar started her career at Aditya Birla Group (ABG), a $40 billion multinational  Fortune 500 Indian conglomerate. She held multiple managerial positions. In her last role there, she led the coordination of a cross-functional team of more than 90 people.  During her time at ABG, she was awarded the Chairman’s “Outstanding Achievement  Award,” given to the top 40 managers across the globe. 

Kumar earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian School of  Business and an undergraduate degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in engineering and technology. Kumar is originally from India, but today is based in Cargill’s global headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. In her free time, she enjoys reading,  yoga, hiking, and spending time in nature with her husband and very active 3-year-old.
