Private Equity Executive, Advent International

Chris Benson is a private equity executive, and works for Advent International, a global private equity firm. Advent has $35BN under management, and has acquired over 300 companies in 35 countries. Prior to Advent, Chris worked for Actis, an emerging market private equity fund, concentrating on investments in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Alongside his time in private equity, Chris has experience in consulting, the non-profit sector and starting entrepreneurial ventures.

Chris has been involved with TechnoServe since 2009, when he worked with TechnoServe in Rwanda. Chris has an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University. Chris lives in London with his Salvadoran fiancé.
