Advisory Partner, Bain & Company

Bob Bechek is an advisory partner with Bain & Company, based in the firm’s Boston office.

In 2018, Bob completed his second term serving as the firm’s worldwide managing partner (chairman of the board and CEO).  Prior to that, he held a wide variety of other leadership roles over the course of over thirty-five years at Bain, including serving as co-head of the firm’s Global Technology, Media and Telecom practice.  He has deep and varied experience helping clients with strategy and other general management challenges.

Prior to joining Bain, Bob was Vice President and General Manager of AKR Robotics, Inc., a company he started in the U.S. after managing R&D for the parent company while based in Paris, France.

Bob received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
