Colombia’s economy is among the largest in Latin America, and it has made great strides in reducing poverty over the years. Yet internal insecurity, commodity dependence, and low skill levels hamper its economy and its people.
Small- and medium-sized businesses have been estimated to contribute 40% of the country’s GDP and 80% of its jobs. TechnoServe is working to strengthen this important sector by supporting entrepreneurs to gain the business skills and market connections that will enable them to grow their enterprises for the long term.
