TechnoServe helps people capitalize on good business opportunities in a variety of other economic sectors, beyond agriculture, alternative energy and tourism.
TechnoServe is currently guiding the growth of the wood products industry in Mozambique and helping salt processors in Ghana. We also help a variety of small rural enterprises in mining communities to capitalize on economic opportunities presented by the mining companies; we are currently doing such work in Peru. We are also exploring private-sector solutions to Africa's most pressing health problems, including malaria and HIV/AIDS; this includes an IFC study that identified sustainable business models for insecticide-treated mosquito nets and other anti-malarial measures.
