About the Convention
The Horticulture Convention 2025 aims to foster collaboration, and innovation to accelerate the transformation of the horticulture landscape in Uganda and beyond. It will convene an array of stakeholders from the horticulture sector, including government officials, the private sector, development sector leaders, and regional and international market actors to reflect on our mission to reduce poverty, enhance food and nutrition security, and job creation through a more inclusive and competitive horticulture sector. Why the Horticulture Convention?
Despite gains made in the horticulture sector, significant challenges remain, including food safety, pest management, infrastructure deficits, and regulatory obstacles.
The Horticulture Convention 2025 will explore actionable pathways for transformation through;
- Connection: Networking with regional leaders, policymakers, and innovators.
- Reflection: Sharing insights and learnings from the HortiMAP initiative.
- Commitment: Fostering coordinated, large-scale actions across the horticulture sector.
Attendees will share the latest breakthroughs and best practices in horticulture, focusing on safety and maximizing opportunities across diverse value chains.
