Workers at the Nyala Dairy cooling plant process milk sourced from smallholder dairy farmers. TechnoServe helped open the cooling plant in 2002, and the new activity has created jobs and revitalized the local economy in the town of Ndaragwa. Today, Nyala employs nearly 50 people, buys milk from 6,000 small-scale producers and has average annual sales of $2.5 million.
