TechnoServe is currently working with governments, growers and local processing plants to develop biofuel industries in Mozambique and Guatemala. In Mozambique we have developed and tested a model for biodiesel production from coconut oil. We are also investigating the feasibility of using jatropha and other feedstocks for biofuels production and are currently running a jatropha pilot program in Guatemala. The outcomes will help shape biofuel programs that are in the planning stages in other countries.
