Timothy M. Kingston

Tim is head of the Santiago office in Chile and a senior advisor for Latin America. He also co-heads the investment banking business across the Andean Region, which includes Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru, and is an advisory director to the firm. Tim serves on the Latin America IBD Operating Committee.
Tim joined Goldman Sachs in 1988 as a financial analyst and rejoined the firm after business school in 1991 as an associate in Corporate Finance. In 1991, he was also a founding member of the Latin America Group and spent the next 10 years working in the region, eventually as chief operating officer of the group. Prior to assuming his current roles in 2013, Tim was co-head of the Global Power business within the Investment Banking Division. He was named managing director in 1999 and partner in 2004.
Tim is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the boards of the Americas Society, Friends of the Catholic University of Chile, the North American Chilean Chamber of Commerce, PILA and TechnoServe. He also serves on the advisory boards of the Program of Latin American Studies at Princeton University and the North American Counsel for INSEAD and serves as an advisor to Endeavor Chile.
Tim earned an MBA from INSEAD in France and a BA from Princeton University.
