Senior Advisor, Monitor Clipper Partners
Robert Calhoun is a Founder and Senior Advisor of Monitor Clipper Partners (MCP). Prior to joining MCP, Bob was President of The Clipper Group LP, which he founded in 1990. He was previously employed by Credit Suisse First Boston and its predecessors, which he joined in 1965 as a generalist in the investment banking division, and where he worked on a wide range of capital raising and advisory assignments for industrial companies. He is currently a Director of the Lord Abbett Family of Funds and has served as a Director of IGI/Earth Color and Flight Options, as well as several companies in which Clipper invested.
Monitor Clipper Partners is a private equity investment firm formed in 1998 by The Monitor Group, a leading group of advisory businesses that has at its core one of the world’s largest strategy consulting firms, and The Clipper Group, an experienced private equity investment firm. MCP seeks to make private equity investments in middle-market companies in North America and Europe to which it can add significant value through the combined skills of its principals and its privileged access to the proprietary resources of The Monitor Group. MCP currently manages over $1.5 billion of capital and has invested over $825 million since making its first investment in February 1999. Bob is a graduate of Princeton University with an A.B. in economics.
