Information Technology Intern
(Volunteer Position)


I. GENERAL INFORMATION:

II. PRIMARY PURPOSE & FUNCTION:

We are currently seeking an individual with a strong background in information technology to support our IT manager. Internship responsibilities will include:

  • Provide desktop and laptop support for Washington, DC office.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues.
  • Research issues and technology and prepare briefs for IT manager.
  • Coordinate and manage office laptop inventory.
  • Perform printer and fax maintenance as necessary.

III. KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in MS operating systems required, knowledge of MACs a plus.
  • Ability to bring own laptop PC a plus.
  • Work at least 8-16 hours a week; start and end dates are flexible.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Good research, writing and communications skills.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter.
  • Interest in working in international development, business or fundraising.
