Photo of the Week: Shifting to Better Markets in Tanzania

June 01, 2012

TechnoServe, with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development, has helped farmers in Tanzania to improve their production, form business groups and sell their produce in bulk. As a result, they are earning a higher price for their tomatoes.

TechnoServe, with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development, has helped farmers such as Martha and Daudi to improve their production, form business groups and sell their produce in bulk. As a result, they are earning a higher price for their tomatoes. With the extra income, both Martha and Daudi have improved their homes and are better able to provide for their children.
