Today is Arbor Day, an opportunity for people across the world to plant and care for trees. For many of TechnoServe’s clients, trees are central to their livelihoods. Tree crops such as coffee, cocoa and mangoes provide a critical source of income for countless communities in the developing world. And with proper care and good agricultural practices, farmers can improve the productivity of their trees and increase their incomes.

In the case of the Jorge Salazar Cooperative, TechnoServe has helped Diomedes and other members to capitalize on a new market opportunity in fine cocoa. Learn more about this work.
