Ana Rosa Graf of El Salvador launched a handicraft business, Arte Comasagua, to help provide a livelihood for women through collages created from local materials such as flower and leaves.

Ana Rosa Graf of El Salvador launched a handicraft business, Arte Comasagua, to help provide a livelihood for women through collages created from local materials such as flower and leaves. In 2005, she entered a TechnoServe business plan competition with the goal of tapping into lucrative export markets.

Our business advisors gave her the practical skills and knowledge she needed to create a business plan, build an enterprise and market her products. Ana Rosa was awarded $6,000 in funding that she used to formally launch her business.

Today, Arte Comasagua is thriving. The company is exporting its products to U.S. and European markets, and local women are enjoying new economic opportunities. Read more about Ana Rosa and Arte Comasagua.
