Aminah Alhassan (left) and Mariama Andani of the Nyebu Be Yoona Shea Butter Processing Group stand near their homes in the village of Kanfiehiyili in northern Ghana. TechnoServe has helped 4,000 poor rural women to earn sustainable incomes by collecting and processing shea nuts into a butter used in cosmetics. With our assistance, these women have more than doubled their incomes, giving them money to feed their families and send their children to school.
