Since our founding in 1968, TechnoServe’s work has been guided by the principle that a hand up is better than a handout. By empowering people in the developing world with the skills they need to build strong businesses, we help create economic opportunities that lift families and communities out of poverty.

Our new Progress Report (PDF) shows how our most recent efforts are making a difference in the countries where we work. The report highlights our work with coffee farmers in East Africa, with Haitian mango farmers and entrepreneurs, and with other talented people in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Although the scale of global poverty can be daunting, TechnoServe continues to promote sustainable development that transforms families, communities and entire countries.
